I am waiting for the day when the saints will come in God's House shouting. Not so much for what He's done, But who He is and what he is about to do. I fell sorry for this generation, you have never seen the RAW power of God, never experienced the Holy Spirit conduct an alter call, or a worship service. (sometimes I miss HOPDC !) God showed Himself by Himself and I pray your generation will experience what you don't believe could happen!! But It did! He Is the Word. What preacher, me included can out preach or minister better than THE WORD.
I don't mean to sound angry, just frustrated. We have lost so much spiritually. If I told you I saw, with my own eyes, the Holy Spirit fill a cavity in some one's teeth, or raised some one from the dead, what would you say? That time has passed.
I know, many have abused their gifts and manipulated people, but their are true gifts in the body today.
I believe that what were about to see is the manifestation of God's power through true believers.
Un-scripted, un-programed, un rehershed. It's already happening but were so used to being entertained, we have lost our desire for the authentic. The music you listen to, it's not new, it's all beats stolen from some one's else's creativity. Most of the spiritual song's have no anointing, The clothes and shoes you wear is not designed to flatter, but to expose and entice. High heels make you switch, ruin your feet and spine, but you look good! PULL you Pant's up MEN. So much depression and loneliness, unhappiness, in God's house? Say it isn't so. Stand-up, sit down, slap you neighbor up-side the head five times and tell him, I'm touchin' heaven in 2011!
Most services have become a travesty, with praise coaches, stick-up artists and spirit exhorters who have no interest in your soul or salvation, it's become a contest to see who can make us shout or,display the latest vocal antics. That's why most have to tell the people to stand up, clap your hands. (the dead entertaining the dying!)
We come in hurt and leave hurt. We come in with lust and leave the same way. We go up and get a tap on the head from the "fairy god" father/mother and fall out a devil, and rise up a devil. No change... But we had Church..... No, you've been had!
I'm generalizing of course. Their are good spirit led Churches, real Pastors and preachers and anointed singers, but to see an example of how effective a ministry is, look in the mirror. Is their any progress, any spiritual growth? Why do you even bother to go to Church. What is Church to U, your family, your friends? I know that the "walk of Salvation," is a process, from grace to grace and faith to faith, but their are some that aren't even on the stairs yet.
Can a Church shout to much? Hmm, it depends on what you're shoutin' about. Has God blessed you too much? Has His Word revealed anything about you or the things inside you?
Praise and worship in combination with the Word and teaching, (understanding) of the same will help you understand God's purpose in your life and understand where you fit in and things about you, that you thought nobody else knew? Do you have any idea about His purpose for your life? It is a balance of all these things. When we are balanced, no one will have to tell us or lead, us in praise and worship, or to give, or to learn and apply the teachings of life. No, it will just be what we do, because it's who/what we are.
Thanks "mswildpraize." You stirred the soul of this, battle-worn servant, to remember what was, and before I close my eye's, to see what will surely come again... because: He's the same yesterday, today and forevermore!

The House Of Prayer (part 1)
I am amazed at the workings and moving of God.
How he leads us and directs us, if we have the courage to walk by faith and not sight. Some time he wants to change direction, but being creatures of habit, we resist, stall, and some times just say no.
The Church, can sometimes be it's own worst enemy. If you step out of line, you become an outsider, a rebel. But the Word says God is love. Love will sometimes cause you to move out of the "status Que" to accomplish it's end. Now that HOPDC has finished it's course, there are many who don't understand what God was doing with this Ministry. You must remember, everything has it's own purpose. Not everything was meant to last forever. Why is it, seemingly in our Churches, that, if your a man you are either a deacon or a preacher/pastor. If your a woman your an evangelist. You can not move beyond that, even though there are some women who flat out preach, have excellent organizational and leadership skills, and where would a lot of Ministries be, if it weren't for the sisters! If you do something different, you must have fallen, messed up or did something wrong. How about, your assignment was finished. Your still saved, still love the Lord, but they don't know where to put you. Or the standard prophecy is, God gonna give you a building. My, My. Could this be the reason we have no black church scholars, no teachers, no learned academics as others do?
If I sound angry, I'm not. HOPDC had a specific assignment, for a specific time and place. What you learned and acquired should not be lost, but used as you progress towards the mark. A good analogy would be: of the old man in a club, still trying to dance when his time is far gone. He becomes nothing more than an amusement, a joke. There are some Ministries like that. Non productive, but unable to quit, because their identity is no longer in God, but in their ministry. Don't believe me, visit some, and you will see for yourself. This should not be. We must stop starting over from the beginning, over and over again.
I have decided to write this blog to help explain what HOPDC was and is and continue to always be. It had a purpose, a God given agenda, which was accomplished.

Introduction
Hello world. This is my first stab at this but I don't think it will be to hard. I am in my 50's and have done a lot of things in my life. I'm about ready to retire and this might be one of the things I pursue. Any who, I Founded and Pastored an inner-city Church, with my wife for 17 years, (until 2007) and it was one of the most fulfilling things I have ever experienced.There is not a day that goes by I don't think fondly of those who came and were a part of a very powerful and unique ministry. I now understand, that it was a specific ministry for a specific time. But it will always remain precious to me!
It was during this time that I begin to experience God in a way I never had before. One of the ways was in the Prophetic. The Holy Spirit would show me things and talk to me in a unique way. In time I realized He had always been "talking" to me, I just didn't understand what was going on. I just "knew" things, or could see things and didn't understand that God was preparing me for what was coming. Now this was in the early 90's. The people who were in our Church will remember because I would share most of what I was seeing or hearing. I would also write articles in a local Christian paper, The Body of Christ, but everything I saw came to pass. The elections, the bad financial times, were in, Nature on PMS, all of it.
We are in very strange times, very unusual, but for the, "Eagle Eye" posts any way, I will simply tell you what I see or sense or know, and you can use it or cast it aside, but you can't say you didn't know. That's enough for know I guess, except to say this, on the Economy: The bad times are not over! It is not getting better. It will in time but for at least the next 2 years, it will be like a bad roller coaster ride. There has been so much deceit, lying and outright corruption, that every thing is off balance, off kilter, and the re-adjustment will be painful for some and lethal for others. I would suggest you find an anchor, I have Christ, to keep you stable. What mankind is about to experience we will need it! Knowledge trumps fear every time.
I will try to post 1-2 times a week. I will be sure to make the distinction when I am hearing from the Holy Spirit, or if it's research or observation. But I will always be honest. I have no other motives then to warn and share, to inform and encourage. the rest is up to U. Peace & Love.

Bed bugs are an epidemic . . .
Hi All: A bit of information that you might like to know about. We have friends here in our community and one of their sons is an entomologist (insect expert), and has been telling them that there is an epidemic of bed bugs now occurring in America. Recently I have heard on the news that several stores in NYC have had to close due to bed bug problems, as well as a complete mall in New Jersey.
He says that since much of our clothing, sheets, towels, etc. now comes from companies outside of America, (sad but true), even the most expensive stores sell foreign clothing from China, Indonesia, etc. The bed bugs are coming in on the clothing as these countries do not consider them a problem. He recommends that if you buy any new clothing, even underwear and socks, sheets, towels, etc. that you bring them into the house and put them in your clothes dryer for at least 20 minutes. The heat will kill them and their eggs. DO NOT PURCHASE CLOTHES AND HANG THEM IN THE CLOSET FIRST. It does not matter what the price range is of the clothing, or if the outfit comes from the most expensive store known in the U.S. They still get shipments from these countries and the bugs can come in a box of scarves or anything else for that matter. That is the reason why so many stores, many of them clothing stores have had to shut down in NYC and other places. All you need is to bring one item into the house that has bugs or eggs and you will go to hell and back trying to get rid of them. He travels all over the country as an advisor to many of these stores, as prevention and after they have the problem.
